Dear Colleagues,
As already announced <
https://www.ieee802.org/3/email_dialog/msg01282.html>, IEEE 802.3 will hold its March 2022 plenary session telephonically, from
Monday 7 March 2022, through Thursday 17 March 2022. There will be an IEEE 802.3 Opening plenary meeting on Monday 7 March 2022, an IEEE 802.3 Mid-session plenary meeting on Thursday 10 March 2022, and an IEEE 802.3 Closing plenary session on Thursday 17 March
2022. These meetings will be held from 14h00 UTC to 16h00 UTC however the dates span when the clock change in some geographies, so please pay particular attention to the meeting times.
As a result, the IEEE 802.3 Opening plenary meeting on Monday 7 March 2022 and the IEEE 802.3 Mid-session plenary meeting on Thursday 10 March 2022 will be held from 14h00 UTC (06h00 PT, 07h00 MT, 08h00 CT, 09h00 ET, 14h00 GMT, 15h00 CET, 19h30 IST, 22h00
CST, 23h00 JST) to 16h00 UTC. The IEEE 802.3 Closing plenary session on Thursday 17 March 2022 will be held from 14h00 UTC (07h00 PT, 08h00 MT, 09h00 CT, 10h00 ET, 14h00 GMT, 15h00 CET, 19h30 IST, 22h00 CST, 23h00 JST) to 16h00 UTC.
The draft agendas, as well as liaison letters received so far, are available in the minutes area <
https://ieee802.org/3/minutes/mar22/index.html> and will
be updated as required prior to the meeting. The agenda will be approved at the meeting.
Subgroup (Task Force, standing committee, and any appropriate ad hocs) meetings will be held from Tuesday 8 March 2022 UTC through Wednesday 16 March 2022 UTC, excluding Friday 11 March 2022 UTC through Sunday 13 March 2022 UTC. Meeting information is
provided on the IEEE 802.3 Call and Meeting Calendar <
https://ieee802.org/3/calendar.html>, further information regarding subgroup meetings is provided below.
Payment of a registration fee is required by anyone that attends any meeting held during this plenary session. This registration fee will help offset the costs incurred by the cancellation of the March physical plenary.
The registration fee will be 600.00 USD until 23:59 UTC on Friday 25 February 2022. After that date, a registration fee of 800.00 USD will be charged. The registration website can be accessed at <https://cvent.me/yG5GY2>
Attendance credit toward membership requires at least 75% attendance during the plenary session, as well as payment of the registration fee. As a result, you will need to record attendance at a meeting on at least six of the eight meeting days of the March
2022 IEEE 802.3 plenary session, independent of how long a particular subgroup might be meeting. Attendance credit will only be granted for attendance at the IEEE 802.3 plenary meeting on a day with an IEEE 802.3 plenary meeting, and not for other meetings
that may occur that day.
Several WG decisions are expected during the IEEE 802.3 meetings (most during the Thursday 10 March 2022 Mid-session and Thursday 17 March 2022 Closing plenary meetings). Depending on the amount of discussion, IEEE 802.3 WG meetings may run beyond our
target 16h00 UTC ending time, so please plan your time accordingly.
As this is the first plenary session of an even-numbered year, IEEE 802 officer elections will also take place. For the IEEE 802.3 Working Group, this will be for the positions of Chair and Vice-Chair of the Working Group.

can be accessed as follows:
Since the submission deadline for the March 2022 NesCom meeting occurs prior to the date of the March IEEE 802 EC meeting, I have pre-submitted the draft PAR to NesCom on the understanding that any changes to the draft PAR text resulting from the Plenary
review process will be promptly communicated to the NesCom Administrator and should the IEEE 802.3 Working Group or the IEEE 802 LMSC Executive Committee not approve the submission, it will be removed from the NesCom agenda.

==================================================================================
The following Project Authorisation Requests (PAR) and associated Criteria for Standards Development (CSD) have been submitted by other IEEE 802 Working Groups for consideration at the March 2022 plenary session. Under the PAR approval process for the
March 2022 plenary session, comments on PARs from other WGs are due no later than Wednesday 9 March 2022. I have therefore chartered an Ad Hoc to review and generate comments on behalf of the IEEE 802.3 Working Group on PARs submitted by other IEEE 802 Working
Groups. The Ad Hoc will meet on Thursday 24 February 2022 from 20h00 to 22h00 UTC and Bob Grow has agreed to Chair. As always, please access <
https://ieee802.org/3/calendar.html>
for teleconference access information, I've copied the information for this meeting below. All are invited to share any comments about these PARs on the IEEE 802.3 Dialog reflector <
stds-802-3-dialog@xxxxxxxx>
before this ad hoc meeting where Bob has already provided some thoughts <
