Dear Colleagues,
IEEE 802.3 will hold its November 2023 plenary session from Monday 13 November 2023 through Thursday 16 November 2023. The plenary session will be held at the Hilton Hawaiian Village, Honolulu, HI, USA with support for mixed-mode attendance (i.e., remote
attendance). Please note that the meetings are being planned around an in-person schedule, with remote access provided on a best-effort basis.
The IEEE 802.3 Working Group opening plenary meeting will begin at 10h00 HST (20h00 UTC) on Monday 13 November 2023, and the IEEE 802.3 Working Group closing plenary meeting will begin at 13h00 HST (23h00 UTC) on Thursday 16 November 2023. I will provide
the IEEE 802.3 Working Group opening and closing plenary meeting call information and calendar invitations shortly. IEEE 802.3 Subgroup (Task Force, Study Group, and Ad Hoc) meetings will be scheduled between the IEEE 802.3 Working Group opening and closing
plenary meetings. Please always check <
https://ieee802.org/3/calendar.html> for the most up-to-date information.
The draft agendas and liaison letters received so far, are available in the minutes area <
https://ieee802.org/3/minutes/nov23/index.html> and will be updated
as required before the meeting. The agenda will be approved at the meeting.
We will gather two records of attendance: [1] the attendance tracking tool (IMAT); and [2] attendance books in each face-to-face meeting along with the teleconference tool attendance. The IMAT attendance tool will be the only official record of attendance
for building and maintaining WG membership. PLEASE MAKE SURE TO LOG YOUR ATTENDANCE IN THE IMAT ATTENDANCE TRACKING TOOL. There is no requirement for the IEEE 802.3 Recording Secretary or any other IEEE 802.3 officer to add your attendance
to the IMAT attendance tracking tool if you forget to register it during a meeting. The meeting attendance books along with the teleconference tool attendance will be used to record the attendance in the minutes for each meeting and you must review these minutes
to make sure your attendance is recorded correctly.
Attendance credit toward membership requires attendance at three of the four days of the IEEE 802.3 session, independent of how long a particular subgroup might be meeting. The attendance tracking tool will only allow sign-in on Monday at the opening IEEE
802.3 plenary and on Thursday at the closing IEEE 802.3 plenary meeting (not during the Monday afternoon or Thursday morning meetings). Several WG decisions are expected during the IEEE 802.3 meetings (most during the Thursday Closing plenary meetings). Depending
on the amount of discussion, IEEE 802.3 WG meetings may run beyond their target ending times, so please plan your time accordingly. Additional subgroup information follows.
I look forward to seeing you in Honolulu, HI, USA.
