On Thursday, 802.1 voted to co-locate with 802.3 in Arizona for our interim meeting. As such, the demand for hotel rooms will be increasing, which could make it harder to get rooms.
I’d HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you go make your hotel reservations TODAY.
Here is the January registration and reservation link again for your convenience: https://www.eventcreate.com/e/ieee8025january The 802.1 group hasn’t yet been added to the registration page. Due to them being added late, they have a different room block and rate and as such will have a different hotel reservation link. This delay is why I’m urging you to reserve
today. I’d expect the 802.1 group to be notified by Wednesday. As I stated in the meeting announcement, the only way to get the registration discount is with a minimum three-night stay at the meeting property. Once the room block fills, you could try to get rooms in the dot1 block to get the on-site
discount or choose a different hotel but not get an on-site discount. Lastly, I’ve heard people are seeing different rates when trying to extend the stay out past the room block. I’d advise that you book the nights in the block that you want and then reach out to the hotel to help extend the stay: Phone: +1 480 478 1775 Or email:
Taylor.Monteith@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Good to see those that attended in person last week. Happy holidays to all, and look forward to seeing the 802 family in January!
