Dear HSSG Members, This email is to inform the SG that I am chartering the
creation of a new ad hoc: Name : Fiber Optic Ad Hoc Charter Explore technical and economic feasibility
of fiber optic technologies in relation to rate / reach alternatives. The Ad Hoc shall report its findings to the
SG and not make any specific recommendations to any rate / reach alternatives. I am appointing Dan Dove to chair the fiber
optic ad hoc. Those interested in participating in the ad hoc may contact
Dan (dan.dove@xxxxxx). To assist Dan in planning for an eventual
teleconference, please provide contact information, time zone you reside in,
and provide any preferences for day of the week and time of day for a call.
Dan will issue an invitation to the reflector once he has received a sufficient
