All, Per my last email to the reflector, the SG now has two ad
hoc efforts underway. “Reach”
Ad Hoc, Chair: “Fiber
Optic” Ad Hoc, Chair: Dan Dove (dan.dove@xxxxxx)
First thing I would like to do is to thank Andy and Dan for
volunteering to take on these roles. I have the highest respect for both
of these guys, and know they will do a great job. Next, the discussion regarding meeting times came up at this
week’s “Reach” Ad Hoc call. It is fair to say that our
effort is being watched by many globally. In order to assist the Ad Hoc
chairs in preparing a teleconference schedule that will be fair to all
participants, it is important that all individuals contact the respective Ad
Hoc chairs if they are interested in participating in the respective Ad Hoc
efforts. Please email them your contact
information, time zone you reside in, and provide any preferences for day of
the week and time of day for a call. Meetings will be set up with a
mindset of being fair to all participants and “sharing the pain” of
meeting times during the life of the respective ad hoc between all
