All: The ballot for the isolation fix to the existing
PoE standard opened yesterday. This is a critical fix to a section of the
standard that everyone on this list should be interested in seeing
progressed. Please find the time review the draft, to make meaningful
comments if necessary and, if you are a voter, to vote. You may comment
on the draft even if you are not a voter; though you may not, of course, vote. If you are new to 802.3 ways, the
corrigendum project will be an excellent learning process. Take the time
on a short draft to learn how to vote, take the time to participate in the
comment resolution process to learn that critical operation, when the time
comes take the time to register for the sponsor pool and learn how that process
goes. We will all be well served if we use this chance to get up to speed
on the IEEE way of doing things while we have time and the task is relatively
constrained. Cheers Mike PS – Start collecting some idea for
the January P802.3at interim.

Voters, Observers, and Liaisons: This is the announcement of
the electronic IEEE 802.3 Working Group ballot on P802.3-2005/Cor1/D1.0, Corrigendum

the approved revision of IEEE Std 802.3. IEEE Std 802.3-2005 is in
publication preparation with publication expected in early December (during
this ballot). The draft will be compared by the editor and reconciled
against IEEE Std 802.3-2005 when it is available. TITLE: Draft: Information
