Re: [8023-POEP] Meeting with TIA
Hi,
I think it would be much better people would go to Nashua on Wednesday,
where the ICEA (Insulated Cable Engineers Association) is meeting to
deal in between others with the cable related issues to PoE/PoEP. While
TIA deals basically with cabling issues, where the connectivity industry
is prevailing, ICEA is reuniting the North American cable industry
experts to write the relevant cable standards. This does not mean at
all that TIA should be ignored, as they have to deal basically with the
connector related issues in conjunction to PoE/PoEP, which are also very
important and should not neglected.
You find there preliminary meeting schedule attached. They will be
dealing with a cable heating test procedure as well as with the
determination of the phantom circuit resiatance unbalance (PCRU) based
upon normal CRU measurements.
Kind regards,
Jo Walling
