[8023-POEP] 802.3at Layer 2 Ad-Hoc Meeting Announcement

Colleagues,
 
The Layer 2 Ad-Hoc will be meeting on February the 29th in the Boston Area. Dial in access will also be provided.
 
Mr. McCormack, on behalf of TI, has graciously offered to host the meeting. Details of the logistics will be provided in a follow-up email.
 
Please refer to the Ad-Hoc report from our January interim for the list of work items that will drive the work of our meeting on the 29th (Report can be found on the January 2008 area at http://www.ieee802.org/3/at/public/jan08/diab_1_0108.pdf).

Colleagues:

 

We have set and ambitious schedule for ourselves, which at least partially will require input from ad hoc committees working between now and our next meeting.  Please note the following ad hoc assignments:

 

  • Layer 2: chaired by Wael Diab
  • 4 Pair: chaired by Yair Darshan
  • Transformer: chaired by Fred Schindler
  • Midspan: chaired by Yair Darshan
  • Clause 30 Management: chaired by David Law

 

Note that the chair will be relying on committee members with expertise in the above areas, please help in those areas where your expert lies.  For reference, the following ad hocs are dormant:

 

  • State Diagram: chaired by Clay Stanford
  • Vport: chaired by Fred Schindler
  • Layer 1: chaired by Clay Stanford
  • 350uH: chaired by David Law

 

As needed, the above ad hocs may meet prior to our next plenary, again please plan to assist where you can.  In particular, while we made significant revisions to the state diagrams on Wednesday last, Clay may need to have an additional meeting.
