[8023-POEP] Sponsor Ballot

Colleagues:

Please remember that to participate fully in the next round of ballots you will need to join the IEEE sponsor ballot group.  To do this, you must either

  1. Be an IEEE member, a member of the IEEE-SA, and join the ballot pool.  The current Standards Association (IEEE-SA) membership association dues are $43, IEEE membership dues vary by geography from $169 in the United States to $133 in Latin America [ http://www.ieee.org/web/membership/Cost/dues.html ], so IEEE plus IEEE-SA varies by geography from $212 to $176.
  2. Just join the IEEE-SA without joining the IEEE.  The current IEEE-SA membership dues are $212 regardless of geography.
  3. Pay a one-off balloting fee.  The per ballot fee for non-members is $275, again regardless of geography.

If you select option 2 or 3, I can give you no guidance on how to join the ballot pool, if you have any questions you must address them to someone at the IEEE.  If you pick option 1 you must also request to become a member of the ballot pool by making the proper selection at http://development.standards.ieee.org/my-site/open-ballot-invitations after you have completed your memberships.

The formation period for the ballot group ends Nov 19, please join today if you intend to do so.

Cheers

Mike
