RE: [802.3af] PoE Silicon

Title: RE: [802.3af] PoE Silicon
Colleagues:

This is an inappropriate use of the reflector.  Keep the discussion to the draft and technical issues, not products!

David

I have seen devices from linear tech - specifically the LCT4255.

Does anyone know any discrete silicon for handling the intelligence on the
PD and/or PSE side. Such as a part that provides the PD power signature, and
when starts to be powered over one Pair then remove the signature from the
other? Also on the PSE side for monitoring the link that is compliant to the
current draft?

Many Thanks.
David
