One thing that people should note in this ITU-R liaison is that it enumerates a number of requirements for IP-based mobile systems.  This could be very useful input for generating 802.16m requirements.

We have received a liaison statement from ITU-R Working Party 8F:

 

This statement includes an acknowledgment of IEEE's contribution 8F/1064, which was drafted by the 802.16 WG at Session #47.

 

Also note Appendix 8 (pp. 64-70, entitled "Use of IEEE 802.16 access networks to support IP applications over mobile systems").
