Re: [802.19] Meeting with 802.11

Richard,

I did not know about that time conflict.  It is not a joint meeting, it is actually an 802.11 meeting.  We were just trying to know in advance which of the 802.11 PAR meetings the 802.19.1 PAR would be discussed so we could plan to attend.

So it is really up to Bruce.  We were just putting in a request.

So we are okay with either Monday PM1 or Tuesday AM2.  Several of our members cannot make it to the Monday meeting, but others can.

So all I ask is that if possible 802.11 notifies us which of those two meetings the 802.19.1 PAR will be discusses so I can notify the 802.19 members so they can try to attend, to answer questions and provide feedback.

Once Bruce knows which those two time-slots our PAR will be discussed, if he can tell me, I will notify our members. Thanks.

Regards,

Steve

Steve:

My Regulatory AHC meets Tuesday AM2 and I do want to attend the joint meeting.  I have a Wednesday AM1 slot that will most probably be free; we are only resolving PAR comments and at the moment the pickin’s are slim.

Bruce,

It looks like the preferred time for the 802.19 members to attend the 802.11 meeting when you discuss other WG PARs would be Tuesday AM2.  We also have a meeting at that time but we could attend the 802.11 meeting while our PAR is being discussed and then leave for our meeting when that discussion is over.

So I would like to ask that 802.11 plan to discuss the 802.19.1 PAR during that time-slot.  If you can do it at the beginning of that time-slot that would be great.

Some of the 802.19 members will plan to attend the 802.11 meeting to answer question and hear feedback.

Thanks,

Steve

Subject: [802.19] Meeting with 802.11

All,

I was speaking with Bruce Kraemer this morning about the Atlanta meeting.

IEEE 802.11 has scheduled two time slots to review PARs from other groups.  The two time slots that they have scheduled for this purpose are,

·         Monday PM1

·         Tuesday AM2

I asked if it made sense for members of 802.19 and the TVWS Coexistence SG to attend one of those meeting when they discuss our PAR so we can answer  questions and understand any of their concerns.  Bruce said that was a good idea and we would be welcome to attend.

So I would like to determine with the TVWS Coexistence SG which of these times is best for us so we can request that our PAR be discussed during the time that works best.

Currently the SG has no meetings scheduled on Monday.  We have two meetings scheduled on Tuesday, AM2 and PM1.  So we have two options for meeting with 802.11

·         Monday PM1 – This does not conflict with a SG meeting

·         Tuesday AM2 – This overlaps with one of the SG meetings.  We would have to drop our meeting and go to 802.11.  That might work out okay since people have planned to participate at that time.  It would leave us one time-slot on Tuesday to comment on other groups PARs

I would like to hear from TVWS Coexistence SG members which of these two time slots works best.  Once I get some feedback I will send in a request to Bruce on the schedule.

Please send me your comments.

Thanks,

Steve
