Re: [STDS-802-11-CAC] Question regarding the July WG11 meetings

Hello Joseph,

The advance notice provides information to the WG about the topic under consideration.

Updating the revision is fine. I expect that you would describe the changes in the new version compared to the announced version
as part of the motion discussion.

Dorothy

Hi Dorothy,

Thanks for the quick and clear response.

I do have one additional question regarding motions:

I may have a AANI SC motion for the 802.11 WG to endorse/approve the “Technical report on interworking between 3GPP 5G network & WLAN”, though I may be being very optimistic as to the progress that will be made towards completing this work.  If I do provide a motion to endorse the “r6” version of the report 10 days prior (July 6), but receive feedback after the motion notification date and update the report to address the feedback generating “r7”, will it possible to “update” the motion to the updated revision of the report or will the motion need to be deferred to the next 802.11 WG meeting when motions are in order?

Thanks again for all your efforts to keep 802.11 WG working.

Regards,

Joseph

Hello Joseph, all,

Let me know if you have any comments on the responses below.

Thanks,

Dorothy

============================

  1. Robert has the action to add the July 13th and 16th 802.11 teleconferences to IMAT and the calendar, you should see those shortly
  2. Deadlines – Snapshot slides - Typically, subgroup chairs  post snapshot slide decks by the Monday before the meeting. So please post snapshot slides by July 6th.
  3. Deadlines – WG motions – 10 day advance notice to the reflector, so on or before July 6.
  4. I do not anticipate that there will be closing reports in July – only the status on Monday.
  5. Any subgroup meetings during the week of July 13th should be announced following the usual 10 day requirement.  I’m not seeing the need for additional coordination for these over what subgroups are already doing. Except – no subgroup meetings overlapping with the Monday and Thursday 802.11 teleconferences.
  6. I’ll post the July 13th and 16th agenda 30 days prior.

Hi Dorothy and All,

I know Dorothy sent out an e-mail with the planned 802.11 WG teleconferences for July:

Monday, July 13th 9am-11am Eastern - Opening Plenary, including TG/SG/SC status reports

Thursday July 16th 9am-11am Eastern - Closing Plenary, including motions.

However, I don’t see these meetings in the 802.11 calendar (on the web page or the google calendar).

Also I assume we (the Chairs) will have deadlines regarding posting of reports, notification/posting of motions and liaison documents, and notification/scheduling of TG/SG/SC meetings during the week of the canceled F2F meeting (currently on TGbc has scheduled a teleconference).  Also, shouldn’t we coordinate the meeting times for any additional TG/SG/SC meetings, for the “meeting week” and beyond.

A summary of the upcoming due dates and deadlines would be very helpful.  I assume we will continue to discuss these items at the upcoming 15 June CAC meeting, but that is over 10 days from now and I would like to complete my planning for June and July teleconferences for the AANI SC this week.

Thanks for all your efforts to keep the 802.11 WG working.

Regards,

Joseph
