Hi Laurent,

 

For your SP1 mentioned that ETH STA is able to operation on two bands/channels, I don’t think it’s a specific and outstanding feature for MLD.

Because some legacy devices with dual MAC & PHY architect also have such feature in current market, and some legacy device having concurrent capability meet

this condition as well. I wonder what’s your opinion on this.

Please consider the following revisions in the 11-20/0992r2:

 

Slide 6:

Instead of “Which means that a non-AP MLD shall be at least a single radio non-AP MLD, and may be single radio, enhanced single radio, non-STR multi-radio, STR multi-radio MLD”

consider revising to “ Which means that a non-AP MLD shall be at least a single radio non-AP MLD, and may be enhanced single radio, non-STR multi-radio, STR multi-radio MLD” (since single radio is already mandatory….it should be excluded from the optional list)

 

SP#7:

On the first bullet, instead of “ shall be capable to receive a PPDU on one each EHT AP link independently to the transmit/reception status on the other affiliated EHT APs links” consider revising to

“shall be capable of receiving a PPDU on any affiliated EHT AP link independently from the transmission/reception status on the other affiliated EHT APs links”

Starting a thread for Q/A on doc 992 as we ran out of time.

Feel free to ask your questions there, and refer to the SP# to which the question applies.

 

Just posted below for reference the versions of SPs for SP1 discussed this morning:

  • Original SP
    • An EHT STA that is capable of operating in at least 2 bands shall be part of an MLD
  • Modified SP (Brian’s suggestion):
    • An EHT STA within a device capable of operating in at least 2 bands (or 2 channels within one band) shall be part of an MLD
  • Suggestion from Yong:
    • An EHT STA shall be part of an MLD?
