The equation (xx-y4) and table (xx-y2) are EVM for unoccupied/unused subcarriers.

In case of 4x996, there is no unoccupied subcarriers as it is maximum RU size corresponding to 320MHz.

And thus, we don’t need 4x996-tone RU in those.

 

Similarly, in 11ax, we don’t have r=74, if 2x996-tone RU (equation 27-130) nor i_RU26,start for 2x996-tone RU (table 27-50).

Please let me know this is clear.

In 1290r2, the MCS is defined up to 4x996-tone RU. 

 

In equation (xx-y4) and Table (xx-y2) of 20/1253r5, you list up to (3x996+484)-tone RU.   May I know if you will define 4x996-tone RU at a later stage?

Thanks.  On 1) your suggestion is good, let’s keep BW320 TBD for now.

 

On 3) there are a couple of places in the 11ax spec stating “The … test shall be performed over at least 20 HE PPDUs. The PPDUs under test shall be at

least 16 data OFDM symbols long”.

A few more comments:

 

1.      LO requirements are copied from 11ax but we have new BW320. Suggest to keep that TBD.

[WB] You mean make texts in section xx.3.19.4.2 TBD? Or you want to keep it but want to add text something like “The transmit center frequency leakage for CBW320 PPDU is TBD”  

2.      Need to rows for 4K QAM

[WB] Done. Now I have 4KQAM ¾ and 5/6.

3.      Need to add # of frames, # of symbols, # of PPDU  for measurements

[WB] Can you clarify your comment? Maybe you can point me which text from 11ax is missing in the draft.

Hello all,

This is for PHY- Transmit specification: Clock frequency and modulation accuracy.

As you can find in 11ax spec, we have following two sections for this.

  • 34.3.19 – Transmit specification
    • 34.3.19.3 Transmit center frequency and symbol clock frequency
    • 34..3.19.4 Modulation accuracy
      • 34.3.19.4.1 Introduction to modulation accuracy tests
      • 34.3.19.4.2 Transmit center frequency leakage
      • 34.3.19.4.3 Transmitter constellation error

 

There is one motion for these sections, i.e.

802.11be supports -38 dB as the Tx EVM requirement for 802.11be 4096 QAM.

[Motion 112, #SP20, [9] and [70]]

 

I have few things to discuss. For those thing, I am thinking we can make it TBD. Will write a contribution to discuss that.

 

Other than that, mostly it will be similar to 11ax.

 

MJ kindly volunteered for writing above sections.

He will share draft when it is ready.
