Thank you, Jay, for your questions.
Of course, many things need to be discussed and agreed by the group members, but here is some of my thoughts and I am open to discussions and input. I assume that you are discussing the role of “initiating AP” and “participating AP” in the general multi-AP operations (Case 2 in 11-24/874). Some of the steps of multi-AP operations that have been discussed
in the group, including one or more of the following steps:
By “Initiating AP”, I assume that it will be the AP that initiates one or more of the steps of at least discovery and coordination setup/negotiation. The group can discuss whether coordination decision should
take place at the “initiating AP” or it is based on a req/resp exchanges or other means. Regarding whether only one AP or all APs can be the “initiating AP”, I think the group should decide. For the multi-AP TXOP sharing case, I believe that all APs can be the “initiating AP”, and I do not see
a reason not to follow the same rules for general multi-AP operations. The basic assumption for the term “initiating AP” is that it may be similar to the Multi-AP SP sharing case, it is the AP that initiates the coordinated multi-AP operations. I feel that we do not need too
much details at this stage and those can be decided later. Xiaofei Clement Wang Principal Engineer | InterDigital T: (631) 622.4028 E: Xiaofei.wang@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx From: Jay Yang <yang.zhijie@xxxxxxxxxx>
Hi Xiaofei ,All, Thanks for initiating this mail thread. I'm not sure what's the meaning of " Initiating/Participating AP", do you mean a specific MAP frame is only transmitted by the initiating AP, and the Participating AP can't? Or the first AP that initializes a special MAP procedure is called Initiating AP, that's, any AP can be Initiating AP, and the corresponding responder is the Participating AP? And then
any AP can initialize any MAP procedure? Besides a unified terminology in MAP scheme, it will be helpful if anyone help to clarify what's your purpose, and what you are looking for. Thanks Best Regards Jay Yang (杨志杰)

I’d like to use Initiating AP / Participating AP during coordination setup phase and TXSing AP / TXSed AP during the coordinated measurement / transmission TXOP

Dear all, I presented 11-24/874r0 during the last 11bn joint call discussing the terminology that we should use for multi-AP coordination operations for 11bn. Thank you all for your discussions and comments.
I am sending out this email trying to collect input on these terms. If you could reply to this email with your preferred terminologies, I can try to summarize them and continue the discussion based on the
input. Please also share your thoughts why the choice is preferred under the comments’ column.
Thank you!
