--- This message came from the IEEE 802.11 Working Group Reflector ---
All, 802.11 had two items of business on the IEEE-SA Standards Board agenda today: PAR for 802.11ak General Link PAR for 802.11aq Pre-association Discovery Both of these were approved by NesCom and the Standards Board. Thanks to the efforts of the working group membership and the Study Group chairs , Donald Eastlake and Stephen McCann, for moving the efforts forward to this milestone. In order to help make an orderly transition from study group to task groups I appoint Donald Eastlake as the chair pro-tem of 802.11ak. I appoint Stephen McCann as the chair pro-tem of 802.11aq. New email reflectors and mentor document designations will be available shortly. Nominations for Chair of the new task groups are open. Elections for the chair will be conducted during our next meeting in Vancouver Canada the week of January 13, 2013 and the candidate selected by the task group will be confirmed during the mid-week plenary. Additionally, nominations for task group positions of Vice chair(s), secretary, technical editor are also open. You should expect Elections for other task group officers will also be conducted. Note, however, that when the task groups convene in January they will make the final determination of which positions are needed and when they should be filled.
