Hi. I noticed that the neighborhood around the IEEE convention center is pretty new, and only noticed a handful of restaurants nearby. My taxi driver told me that “Man-Nyeon-Dong” neighborhood (next to KBS TV station) would be the best bet
for restaurants – I can see many restaurants all clustered together on the internet. This is not within walking distance – it is ~10 min taxi ride away. Attached is a sign you could use to tell the taxi driver. (The driver may complain that you are not telling him the exact restaurant, but I don’t know any specific restaurant.
J) It seems that there are many Korean barbeque places, traditional Korean set menu restaurants, and sushi places. Lastly, it does not seem convenient to catch a taxi at the convention center (not a busy neighborhood). You should probably ask your hotel to call you a cab. Catching a taxi back from the restaurant area should be easier. Good luck!
