I think TKIP (probably

Yes, the claim is certainly debatable.
However, my experience has been
that the pool of IBSS/PBSS/MBSS SMEs is very small, and so one can't
rely on the expertise being there and available to look into this or
that maintenance point.

Those comments do not seem to provide any real justification for deprecating IBSS, PBSS, or MBSS. It would be helpful to get some actual data to back up the claim/implication of no one caring about these.. And doing that is going to be
