Hi Mark H., Mark R.,

I would like to be involved in the discussions related to this CIDs and the topic in general.

Clause 9.4.2.22 says value 0 is reserved for Quiet Count field of Quiet element. Therefore, it is unclear when (and in which frame) the AP will set this field to 0. Once we have clarity on this matter, we can have further discussion on how to resolve the CID.

+ Gabor, Gaurang à since there were recent discussions in TGbe on the Count field being set to 0.

Regards,
Abhi

All,

I’m looking for those interested in Channel Switch Announcement procedures, to consider a change being proposed in REVme (see below).

Does anyone have a comment/concern with this proposed change?

Thanks.  Mark

11.8.8.2

"When the AP sets the Channel Switch Count field of the Channel Switch Announcement element to 0, it shall
not include a Max Channel Switch Time element in a Beacon or Probe Response frame(#6)." -- why not?  Even if you have to switch immediately, the AP might not be available on the new channel for a while
