Re the Monday night session - I don't believe that
TGc, TGd and/or TGe have enough work to fill up three days of parallel sessions
(they didn't the last two times).
I therefore propose that the "New
Concepts" session should take place after the 802.16 Plenary on Monday and that
the Task Groups start their meetings on Tuesday morning, leaving Monday evening
free.

Subject: stds-802-16: Session #26
agenda
Folks,
I have updated the Session #26
page:
http://ieee802.org/16/meetings/mtg26
with the week's
overall agenda:
http://ieee802.org/16/meetings/mtg26/agenda.html
Please
note a couple of features:
*As decided in May, the 802.16 Closing Plenary
will take place on
Friday morning (8-11 am) instead of Thursday
evening.
*There is only one 802 Tutorial scheduled so far. It should
be
interesting. It's called "Ethernet 30th Anniversary
Retrospective,"
with speakers to include Ethernet pioneer Bob Metcalfe (who,
by the
way, mentioned 802.16 in a fascintating recent interview
<http://news.com.com/2008-1082_3-1008450.html?tag=fd_lede2_hed>).
*I've
added a Working Group meeting on Monday evening on "Proposed
New Concepts."
This is in response to some requests I've received for
presentations on
potential enhancements to the 802.16 air interface.
What I've heard so far is
about >10 GHz ideas, including mesh and
beam steering. Since Monday
evening wasn't in use, I thought we could
let people air their ideas and get
some reaction. If you have
something to add, let me know by July 14 so I can
make the detailed
agenda.
By the way, don't forget that on-line
registration ends this Saturday:
