Re: [STDS-802-16] Fwd: [802SEC] +++EC Ballot+++ENDS 04OCT+++ Moti on to approve P802.22 press release
Hello Roger,
I do not know whether you can vote YES/NO only or also propose modifications
to the PR.
I suggest that you submit a binding comment that the statement "It also will
complement IEEE 802.16(tm) metropolitan area networks, which are designed
for urban environments" shall be changed to "It also will complement IEEE
802.16(tm) metropolitan area networks, which are designed for urban AND
SUBURBAN environments" - this will describe more accurately the range of
applicability of 802.16 and will still not coincide with 802.22 which
defines itself as RURAL. I think it is adequate in order to send a more
balanced message, which does not present 802.16 as a technology limited in
its scope.

approve P802.22 press release
Folks,
I have an opportunity to ballot on the 802 EC motion below.
Note that the draft press release, which you can find here:
http://ieee802.org/secmail/msg05705.html
mentions 802.16.
If you have comments, please let me know.
Roger
