On behalf of the #57 Kobe session organizer, this is my great pleasure
to announce you that the registration web-site for IEEE 802.16 Session
#57, Kobe, 16-19 September 2008 is now open. You can reach the site

appreciated. I would recommend you to have your registration and
reservation at your earliest opportunity so as not to miss the hotel
room, and especially for those who require the entry Visa as it may take
sometime to get it.
Please note that the session and site-related information on the
web-page can be revised and updated for better explanations time to
time. The session information will also be provided at the coming
plenary session in Denver, July 2008.

IEEE 802.16 Session #57
=======================
IEEE 802.16's Session #57 will be held 16-19 September 2008 at Hotel
Okura Kobe in Kobe, Japan. This will be an IEEE 802.16 Interim Session.

Once you proceed to the accommodation reservation, you can find out the

Meeting Schedule
----------------
The draft meeting schedule will become available in advance. The
Opening Plenary starts at 8 AM on Tuesday. The Closing Plenary is
scheduled for Friday morning from 8-12AM. The reception will be held
Thursday evening. Note the session schedule is, say, half-day shifted
and different from the ordinary ones.

Airport Transportation

One typical airport to reach Kobe is Kansai International Airport and an
example route from the airport is:
Kansai International Airport (KIX)
-> (Airport Limousine Bus to Sannnomiya, Kobe)
*65-minutes bus ride
Sannnomiya Station, Kobe
-> (Taxi)
*7-minutes taxi ride
-> Hotel Okura Kobe, Kobe

Visa Information

To visit Japan, you must have a valid passport. A visa is required for
citizens of countries that do not have visa-exempt agreements with
Japan. Please contact the nearest Japanese Embassy or Consulate for
visa requirements. You may find out the information at:

If you require a Visa Support, please check in the box shown on the
session registration page. Our visa-support office will send an
application form for those who selected the box and have completed the
payment. Again, we recommend your submittal of application at an early
stage since visa acquisition takes time.
