Brian, People on the call could not come up with a kind of definition that
would apply across the board to all broadband communications (different types
of wired and wireless). On the other hand, they tried to promote the idea of FCC
defining classes of broadband service where each class is clearly defined by
characteristics such as throughput, sustainability, reliability, delay, etc. I am not sure at the end how clearly this was reflected into the
response. Regards, Reza From: Kiernan, Brian G
[mailto:Brian.Kiernan@INTERDIGITAL.COM] Just to continue my past diatribes on this subject (and get
people thinking, I hope): The document is a non-answer and totally
non-definitive. While it sort of answers the FCC questions it does not
propose a definition, instead it just has a lot of words recommending an
undefined subjective “user perception” approach to a definition. From: Roger B. Marks

address them at the Session #63 Opening Plenary and submit them before the
deadline. Roger Begin forwarded message: From: Mike
