[STDS-802-16] PPC HN-adhoc Discussion Schedule

Dear 802.16 PPC members,

 

In Session #71, during the formal HN (Hierarchical Network) session, an adhoc was suggested to be formed for further discussion mainly on interworking features to support HN features (e.g., between 802.11 and 802.16). Three CC’s were scheduled for the adhoc as follows:

-      17^th Feb, 6pm PST (1.5 hours)

-      24^th Feb, 6pm PST (1.5 hours)

-      3^rd Mar, 6pm PST (1.5 hours)

(*Bridge information of each call will be informed before the 1^st CC)

 

During the CC’s, as addressed in PPC Closing Report (IEEE 802.16ppc-10/0018r2), it is recommended to discuss the following topics:

-      Sharing opinions & Discussing on interworking issues (e.g., C-AP, MIH, O-RAT) for developing a harmonized proposal

-      Further technical recommendations on the HN scope & features regarding Multi-Tier & Multi-RAT supports

-      Comments and suggested amendments on the current Study report, which can be found at IEEE 802.16ppc-10/0008r3

 

As an output of this adhoc, it is recommended to agree on some basis on HN technical features and submit the harmonized contribution/suggestions at Session #72.

If members have supportive contributions or materials to share before each CC, we shall make use of the ‘temp’ upload directory at http://dot16.org/ul/ul.cgi?command=viewupload&database=temp_db.

 

Please note that this adhoc is not only limited to the above issues, but is also very open to further issues within the scope of HN.

For each CC, an agenda slide with issues to be discussed will be also uploaded to the ‘temp’ directory.
