RE: [802.21] Deadline for comments/submissions for March 2006 Plenary
I agree with Srini.
It needs to be clarified that the below announcement by the Chair is for
comments related to Internal ballot being conducted in 802.21. This is a
step to enhance the 802.21 draft just ahead of the formal Letter ballot
process expected to be initiated in March 2006. Members/Non-members are
encouraged to submit comments on new draft to be posted in few days with
both defects and suggested remedies. In cases where folks only detect
defects and cannot come up with a suggested remedy, it's probably fine
to post only the defects as well and leave it to other members/802.21
group to come up with appropriate remedies. This is the process we
expect to undertake in next few weeks leading up to the March meeting.
Once the draft is in LB stage there shall be a more formal process for
comment submission and resolution.
However if there are other submissions later on for March IEEE meeting
either related to current draft or even otherwise, then in my view it is
a good idea to not preclude such submissions.
