Re: [802.21] Updated Draft P802-21-D00-05

All,

Hope all of you are working hard to send in as many comments and issues that you see with the current draft. Considering that posting the draft was a few days late giving people fewer days to review, the date to submit comments is being extended by one week until Feb 17, 2006 instead of Feb 10, 2006.

Reply comments are due on Feb 24, 2006.

Hope this gives everyone some extra time as requested by many and generate better contributions.

We would continue to have the comment resolution adhoc schedule as announced earlier.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Best Regards,
-ajay

Hello Folks,

A new version of the 802.21 draft P802-21-D00-05 has been sent to the Chair for posting on the private area of the 802.21 web site.

This version of the draft incorporates comments that were resolved during the Big Island (Kona) meeting in January.

Several significant updates got added to this version of the draft as we now prepare for WG Letter ballot.

Updates to 3GPP SAPs and general reference models, local/remote events/commands, Information elements and their TLV/Schema based representation,

updates to MIH header and MIH protocol and greater consistency in primitives as well.

As usual please also find attached file D04_Changes_D05 which lists the changes from the previous version of the draft.

Also the following updated Commentary files have been posted as well.

-21-06-0496-03-0000-D00_04_Master_File_Editor_Notes.USR

The Commentary files includes Editor’s Notes (wherever applicable) on how individual comments were resolved.

This file also includes inputs from Group resolution and relevant discussion from the last meeting at Kona.

Please review this file for any notes/details on updates to individual comments.

The names of contributors have also been updated from last meeting.

If you feel your name needs to be added to List of Contributors please send a note to the Editor.

If there is anything we can do to make this process better please feel free to send in any suggestions.

For any other comments and updates please feel free to directly get in touch with the Editor.

Best Regards,

-Vivek

p.s: My apologies for being a few days late on this one from the date promised earlier.

A bad fall in Kona resulted in a hairline fracture on my right hand thumb making the editing little difficult.

Things are getting better though.
