All, I sent an email to the reflector this morning about the feasibility of 25Gbps over 15m coax cable. I did not receive this email yet, but I see it on the reflector website. I am forwarding it again, in case you did not receive it. The original email had my presentation as an attachment that is accessible from the reflector website: https://www.ieee802.org/3/ISAAC/email/pdfFgQ43Fu9HT.pdf Ragnar From: Ragnar Jonsson All, Last week we had a very good presentation from German and Ahmad titled “Preliminary Feasibility Study for 25Gb/s over Coaxial Channels” and there was some follow-up discussion on this reflector. In the enclosed presentation I have done similar theoretical analysis, but taken it one step further. The summary is
This kind of analysis belongs more in the Task Force, and we need to do more detailed analysis there. However, given the nature of the discussion about the higher than 10Gbps discussion, I felt that sharing this analysis now might be useful
to the Study Group. I would really appreciate to hear any comments or concerns that people might have. Ragnar To unsubscribe from the STDS-802-3-ISAAC list, click the following link: https://listserv.ieee.org/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=STDS-802-3-ISAAC&A=1 |
