Hi David Thanks for the reminder. It is an oversight from my side. I here correct the reference as: Relative Cost Analysis of 802.3ch as Asymmetric PHY_Huang_05122024.pdf Thanks Ahmad Sent from Mail for Windows From: Law, David Hi Ahmad, I note that your email says, 'I refer you to one of Aeonsemi presentation in the previous cycle ...'. I, therefore, have to remind everybody that IEEE 802.3 operates using the IEEE-SA 'individual process' <https://standards.ieee.org/wp-content/uploads/import/documents/other/Participant-Behavior-Individual-Method.pdf#page=3> and that '... if you are unable to satisfy these requirements then you shall immediately cease any participation.'. Further, failure to follow this participation policy could result in an ethics complaint submitted against the individual(s) involved. Best regards, David ----- From: Ahmad Chini <chiniahmad.ieee@xxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, July 18, 2024 4:58 PM To: STDS-802-3-ISAAC@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: [802.3_ISAAC] [Assessing Transceiver Complexity and Power for Automotive Imaging Sensors] Alireza That is a fair question. The number is for a full echo canceller for 10GBASE-T1. You are correct that I did not do analysis suggesting 80% of DSP is used for echo canceller. I refer you to one of Aeonsemi presentation in the previous cycle that shows relative size of echo canceller as compared to total PHY (not only DSP). Unfortunately I can not provide you more information at this time but I encourage you share your own experience and analysis. I listen. For example, I could not locate the source for the statement: “Removing echo canceller saves up to 80% of the DSP area.” Is this based on measurements from existing products, similar to previous presentations https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://www.ieee802.org/3/dm/public/0524/Evaluation*20of*20802.3ch_Tran_050142024a.pdf__;JSU!!NpxR!jQWGfUxj3DiktAx8V2A0_gc8Cwz_7it2nJGqQ5ODgTAb7Rn6x1yOc53GjtlNznQB-izkRvpZAm4g7H-KSJvk$ , or is it based on a particular model? If it is the latter, I would appreciate more details about the system and its assumptions. Best regards, Alireza

Alireza Please see in the presentation, the comparison is for DSP cost and active power. Any other analysis would be TBD future work. Thanks Ahmad Sent from Mail for Windows From: Alireza RazaviSent: Wednesday, July 17, 2024 2: 29 PMTo: STDS-802-3-ISAAC@ listserv. ieee. orgSubject: Alireza

Ahmad/Mehmet Thank you for your presentation. Could you provide more details about your assumptions for the materials in slide 11? Additionally, can your model or measurement compare the average and maximum power of the PHY on the camera side for EEE and time division mode? Furthermore, you compared two methods for the 2.5G/100M mode. How do these numbers change for the 10G/100M mode? Best Alireza
