Hi Tim,

I hate to be difficult, but as I noted in comment #321, subclause 30.1 'Overview' says, 'Implementation of part or all of Layer Management is not a requirement for conformance to any other clause of this standard.'. As a result, I believe that the D-PLCA state diagram should be specified to operate in the absence of management attributes. Based on this, I'd like to suggest that following changes.

Thanks, and best regards,

  David

-----

soft_aging_cycles

Defines the number of BEACON cycles before the SOFT claims over the transmit opportunities expire. When clause 30 management is implemented, tThis variable maps to the aDPLCASoftAgingCycles attribute defined in 30.16.1.1.8.

Values: positive integer numberfrom 1 to 65535

Default: 50

hard_aging_cycles

Defines the number of BEACON cycles before the HARD claims over the transmit opportunities expire. When clause 30 management is implemented, tThis variable maps to the aDPLCAHardAgingCycles attribute defined in 30.16.1.1.9.

Values: positive integer numberfrom 1 to 65535

Default: 1000
