Re: [802.3_NGAUTO] Comment #115 redrawing of Figure 149-7

Thank you Natalie.

The ‘_n’ notation is supposed be a subscript.

Now that this figure is moved to subclause 149.3.2.2 PCS Transmit function, can we change the title to something appropriate for the section?

PCS Transmit Function?

I believe the update below addresses your proposed changes.  Please let me know if this is not the case.

Thanks, Brett – this seems reasonable – where was the reference to DS_n[0] and DS_n[1]? (I can’t find it).   The ones I was referring to are the Scr_n[0], Scr_n[3] and Scr_n[8] (without the extra comma in the subscript) which relate to the nomenclature in Figure 149-10 and equation 149-8 used for the side stream scrambler.

Natalie,

I suggest changing Scr_n,0 and Scr_n,1 to DS_n[0] and DS_n[1] and change d_n,0 and d_n,1 to D_n[0] and D_n[1] because those terms were accepted as the text for the data scrambler section.

A very minor thing on the nomenclature – the scrambler bits are Scrn with a capital S, not scrn all lower case.

Colleagues,

Please look at the proposed changes to Figure 149-7 based on the decision in Comment #115 to make this a block diagram and move it to Section 149.3.2.2.

Please plan to request any desired changes tomorrow.

Thanks,

Natalie
