Hi Yongho, See my comments below. Thanks Best Regards Jay Yang From: Yongho Seok <yongho.seok@xxxxxxxxx> Hi Abhi, Can't the AP MLD switch the operating channel of one link from 6GHz to 5GHz? Because we have E-CSA, changing the opening class is possible. Probably, it is allowed. In such a case, the STA of the STA MLD associated with that link can't use the HT and VHT PPDU in 5GHz after completing the operating channel switching from 6GHz to 5GHz? According to the proposed text, the STA MLD can't provide the HT
and VHT capabilities in the Association time. à<Jay> I understand there is no much difference for EHT STA or HE STA to switch the operation channel from 6GHz to 5GHz. Take HE STA as an example, HE STA will
carry the HT/VHT CAP after it switches the channel from 6GHz to 5GHz. But during the channel switching procedure(6GHz to 5GHz), as there is no VHT/HT STA associated with, and it’s unnecessary to send HT/VHT PPDU. My point it the HT/VHT is only carried when the HE STA actually operating on non-6G band. If the rule for HE STA is true, EHT STA should inherit such rule without any change. In the MLD, we should provide the HT and VHT capabilities regardless of whether the reported STA is STA 6G or not. Because it can operate at 5GHz later. à<Jay> If the reported AP is not on 5GHz, why carry HT or VHT CAP? I understand the HT/VHT Cap can be dynamically added and removed.
