For all of you that are uploading
temporary documents into the various temp directories:
Please do not use the formal
802.16e numbering scheme on any of these temporary documents. It causes
real administrative nightmares when people start referring to them in comments
or other documents and they are not yet (and may never become) official TGe
contributions. When a final version ultimately gets uploaded to the
"real" TGe directory, it may end up with a different document number
or there could be multiple documents with the same number, which causes a lot
of confusion. That's what happened at the last meeting, forcing Phil to
put together his Excel cross-reference spreadsheet. The ad hoc chairs can
establish whatever numbering scheme they want for their group’s temporary
documents. You might want to just put a “T” (for temporary”)
in front instead of a “C” or call them something like "Preamble
Temp#1", “Security T5”, “Harmonization #3”, or
some such similar name so that it’s obvious that it is an adhoc or
temporary document, not a “formal” TGe contribution. If we all do this, it will
prevent a lot of confusion in Thanks, Brian |
