All,
There are 3 MAPs in .16 specification such as General
MAP(DL_MAP), Compact MAP and Compressed MAP.
In General MAP(OFDMA DL-MAP_IE), the burst location is
indicated by several parameters(OFDMA Symbol offset, Subchannel offset, No.
OFDMA Symbols and No. Subchannels).
So, the burst can be allocated rectangular form at
downlink burst in the General MAP.
In Compact MAP, there is no parameters for indicating burst
location. There is only 2 parameters(Nep, Nsch) for indicating the
packet size.
So, the burst can not be allocated rectangular form
at downlink burst in the Compact MAP.
It means that SS should consider previous allocation
information for finding it's packet(burst) location.
In my understand, it seems to be some problems when HARQ SS
and Non-HARQ SS are exist in the same time, in same Cell.
Because different kind of burst(one is allocated by
General MAP, the other is allocated by Compact MAP) can be exist
in one frame.
In that case, I think that SS can not interpret
easly it's burst information.
My questions are here:
1. Can different kind of burst(one is allocated by
General MAP, the other is allocated by Compact MAP) be exist in
one frame ?.
a. If then, How can SS interpret the burst
information? Are there any rules for that?.
b. If not, Do we should use separate frame for
HARQ enabled SS?
Thanks,
Chang-Jae.
