Dear
Juergen,
Thank you very much
for your useful response.
Regards,
Héctor
Dear Héctor,
I think this value has to be adapted according to the
deployment. You have to understand
this 'default' as a typical value. If you have to
many 'ranging correction retries' your
system may be overloaded by single
users "ranging all the time".
If this value is to low you may do not support users
at the cell boarders, hard to range.
What I want to say is that this value will not be
fixed and nobody can tell you.
Each operator will use that "screw"
to optimize the overall BS
operation/traffic
throughput (my opinion).
Kind Regards
Juergen OTTERBACH

Re: [STDS-802-16] Ranging correction retries
Dear
All,
I would
appreciate some feedback on this question.
Thanks and best
regards,
Héctor
Dear
all,
In page 178 of
P802.16-2004/Cor1/D3, it is stated that the default value for the Ranging
Correction Retries is 16. However, no minimum nor maximum value is
specified. I would appreciate if somebody could clarify whether this
means that whichever value for this parameter is correct or, otherwise, to
give me some advise on it.
Thank you very
much in advance.
Best
regards,
